Bridging the Gap between Rural and Urban

Raising a Farmer is a rural Minnesota based non profit organization bridging the gap between rural and urban communities with four core values: Food, Art, Farming, and Community.

Food

Raising a Farmer believes food connects us all and is a place where community is formed.

We gather around food. Food brings us special memories but also food insecurities are very real in our communities.

Raising a Farmer offers food education, partners with organizations to bridge food insecurities with farm fresh proteins and food demonstrations with simple recipes.

ARt

Raising a Farmer ensures art accessibility in a unique setting bringing farm animals to artistic workshops and activities. Raising a Farmer partners with local artists creating a unique experience by bringing farm animals and rural life together where art can be created at all skill levels.

Raising a Farmer believes it is their job to bring the farm to underserved communities where individuals do not have access to agriculture, farming and rural places. Being physically present in underserved communities bridges the gap between rural and urban by building relationships.

Farming

Raising a Farmer offers rural and farm educational engagements connecting communities in all of their activities. Individuals are wanting and craving to know where their food is raised and produced. Raising a Farmer offers the experience where every question is a good question.

Community

Raising a Farmer creates community in all their engagements.

A space where creativity, growth and learning can thrive.
